Each spring, the Department of Religious Studies offers awards to undergraduate students writing on topics associated with the study of religion. The Senior Honors Thesis Award was awarded to Sarah Rice for “Church Next Exit: How Christian Social Services Affect the American Midwest.”
The Bill Gallagher Essay Contest invites essays dealing with issues pertinent to the study of religion. The Gallagher Honors Thesis Award went to Sage Thompson for “Twentieth Century Milton: Paradise Lost and the Crisis of Man.” The additional awards went to Katherine Griffith (1st place) and Kylee Chenault (2nd place).
